Spring breeze calling for a change

The spring breeze sings a lullaby to my heart
awakening the melody of my soul

South western tribal print poncho brings the vibrancy of the spring and fluidity of the spring breeze. Pair it with distressed denim and high heels for a city chic outfit.

One of the things that I love about the spring is it’s cool gentle breeze. The spring breeze brings along with it the smell of the sweet flowers, the smell of the earth drenched with fresh rain, swaying of trees and rustling of leaves. It reminds us of the fluidity of our lives and to keep moving forward. It is as if mother nature is calling you for a change. So with the cool breeze tousling my hair I start introspecting. What do I want to change about myself? Here is what I came up with:

Be present. Lately I have been so busy in getting things done that I am missing out on the little moments of joy and relaxation. I need go with the flow and not feel pressurized into doing things. I want to be able to enjoy watching Akira play and Vinay smiling back at me without having the thought of what is left to be done for the day. I need to prioritize.

Pamper myself. Don’t we all need it? It is so important to take out time for yourself. Maybe read the book you saw the review for, the movie that your friends are talking about, dine at the restaurant you have been wanting to eat forever, enjoy a spa day that your body has been asking for or maybe just the sleep you have to catch up on. We deserve it! It helps us rejuvenate and

Stop Procrastination. Yes I am guilty of that. Hopefully I am able to drive the things my way instead of the tasks driving my day.

Exercise more. This is an area where I have been lagging for quite some time now. I just need to break out of my shell of laziness and set some fitness goals. Trust me I am very body positive, but I need to be in a state where I am not the last… well one of the last ones to complete a 14er (more on how I completed my first 14er )!
Did you know that all the cells in your body get replaced in 7-10 years? So maybe it is possible to reverse the aging by creating more happy cells in my body with a good workout.

Eat healthier. I do have good eating habits and we cook mostly at home. But it is those in-between snacks that I need to keep in control. I want to follow some portion control, add more fiber and reduce the carbs in my diet. Also, I would like Akira to pick good eating habits as well.

These are the changes that I want to make within myself. But then there are other important changes that a woman needs to address, like a wardrobe change for the spring season 😉

For today’s outfit I am wearing this southwest print poncho. Ponchos are such an easy and comfy way to stay warm with the cool spring breeze. They are also fun and playful, just like the spring breeze. I was immediately attracted to the unique southwestern print and colors. I have paired it with a distressed denim and strappy ankle sandals to give the outfit a city chic look.
So what are the changes that you are looking forward to this spring?

Lovely outfit and wonderful write up! We an all take a little something away from this. I need to get better about procrastinating also. Sometimes I feel like I do a better job when I am “under the gun” on time, but other times I just ask myself why I left x,y, and z to the last minute! Happy Tuesday!
