I wake up every morning with my cup of green tea, read some news and catch up on my emails. The next thing I do is stare at my closet and think- “what should I be wearing today?”. The choice is not just dictated by the day’s weather – it’s about my mood, the role I have to play and the people I have to meet. Is it going to be office or is it an outing or is it the weekend getaway? Maybe the right question to ask is – “what face are you wearing today”? Our clothing reflects our mood and personality. I am all of it and none of it. With so many roles to play in our lives, it is really difficult to be true to yourself.

I think it is very important to take time out for yourself and reflect upon the journey so far. Lately I have been drawn to yoga and meditation for the same reason. I find that realizing your true self is actually very liberating. When we are happy and spend time with our near ones, we show our true face. Rest of the times, we just keep switching between different masks. I do not think there is any issue with that. After all pretend and play is fun too!

I truly believe in these words. And I think that we are the ones who can decide who we want to be each day or how our mood is. So for this post I decided to have some fun and add a little quirkiness to my day with this pretty off-shoulder top from Romwe.com. This is my first collaboration with Romwe and I am really excited about it. I had never shopped with them before, but was really surprised with their collection and amazing prices.     I absolutely adore this top, it kind of reminds me of something Jeremy Scott would design! You’re so right in everything you’ve mentioned here, we do have many roles and masks we wear on the daily b/c of that and it can be so easy to lose our true selves in the midst of it all. Finding something to do that makes us happy and gives us that alone time to reconnect with ourselves is so important! Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful!
